Gil Susman Reining Horses
Gil Susman has been showing Open and Aged Events since 2008. With NRHA earnings over $105,000, he is a multiple aged event champion and has had success in every open ancillary division.
Gil's horse training program starts with a solid, basic reining foundation. Before starting training a horse in any discipline, he believes in taking the time to make sure the horse is physically strong and flexible, responsive to basic cues, and mentally compliant and confident. He wants each horse to be able to handle any situation, whether it's in the show arena, warm-up, out in the pasture or on a trail.
Gil's use of reining training principles ensures that every horse has a basic set of skills and an obedient disposition, whether it ends up with a show career in reining or any other discipline, or becomes a ranch horse or is just a plain old riding horse for personal enjoyment.
Gil believes in communicating frequently and honestly about how your horse is progressing, and will always offer insight on our opinion of his ability to meet your expectations.
